1T57, Settle to Blea Moor tunnel.

On the 10th August 70013, Oliver Cromwell, hauled the second leg of the 1T57 anniversary train from Manchester Victoria to Carlisle. This section covers from Settle to Blea Moor tunnel.
The 15 miles of mainly 1:100 was made to look tame as the Britannia climbed with ease, only slackening off for the speed restriction over Ribblehead Viaduct.

6201 on the Yorkshireman.

6201 Princess Elizabeth took the Yorkshireman from Crewe to York via Manchester on 7th June 2008. Seen having a bit of trouble on Miles Platting bank out of Manchester Victoria then later near Diggle, where the distinctive sound of a Harley Davidson motorcycle can be heard as 6201 disappears into the distance.
